Healing of the heart

9/9/2014

I have been involved with the Ministry of Healing for over 10 years, both as a lay member and as ordained.  This is a ministry which is very close to my heart, and I must say that I never cease to be amazed at how God moves and works in our lives.  If you have any prayer requests or questions about the Ministry of Healing, then please feel free to submit these through the Ministry of Healing link above.

There are times when the move of God is very dramatic and we see Him heal in what we would describe as nothing short of a miracle, and there are times when the healing is more subtle and happens over a period of time.  There are of course those occasions when we pray for physical healing, but it never seems to come.  However, when we ask for God to heal us spiritually we always receive His healing.

Each of us needs to receive healing in our hearts.   As scripture teaches us, we all sin and are tempted to sin (Romans 3:23).  This sin separates us from God, and until we choose to do something about that sin, we remain separated from God.  This is not a good condition to be in, and requires the miraculous touch of God.  He invites us to receive this healing, and everyone who seeks it is guaranteed to receive it.  When Jesus opened wide his arms on the Cross, he opened the way for us to receive eternal life.  With His death, He died in our place, and with His resurrection, he secured our future.  All He asks in return is that we love Him, ask Him to save us, and live our lives for Him.

So this leaves one question in my mind – Have you received the spiritual healing which God offers?

If you would like to and are not sure how, then please pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for dying for me,

I am sorry for my sin, and for things which I do which separate me from you.

Please come into my life, and make me the person you want me to be.

Help me to sin no more and to follow you all my days.

In your name I ask it. Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer, then please do get in touch.
